French Language and Francophonie Week 2025 by JVF-CAMEROON

True to its tradition, the Young Volunteers Network of the Francophonie of Cameroon (JVF-CAMEROON), in partnership with public institutions, civil society organizations, and diplomatic representations, celebrated the French language and the International Day of the Francophonie. The 2025 edition is marked by an innovation highlighting activities with the following objectives: urban planning and sustainable development, environmental protection, and various training courses. To achieve this, preparatory meetings were necessary on the one hand, and the conduct of the activity on the other. I- Preparatory meetings 1- The meeting of Wednesday, January 15, 2025 At the invitation of the national coordinator, several partners (GREEN HORIZON, APROVDHAF, ONG-GERVAC, AJVC REJEFAC, J2D-AFRIQUE, GESCOD, FONDATION VILLES PROPRES, NAME RECYCLING) took part in this meeting at the headquarters of JVF-CAMEROON. On this occasion, the national coordinator presented the vision for the 2025 edition while requesting frank collaboration from the stakeholders present. 2- The meeting of Wednesday, January 22, 2025 The purpose of this meeting was to define and validate the activities that could facilitate the achievement of the objectives. 3- The meeting of Wednesday, January 29, 2025 With a notable presence from FRANCE VOLONTAIRES CAMEROUN and GESCOD, this final preparatory meeting allowed participants to make final adjustments before the actual start of activities.

Celebration of French Language and Francophonie Week 2025 by JVF-CAMEROON

Opening ceremony Paragraph on March 5, 2025 was the launch of the celebration of the French language and Francophonie by the national coordinator in the presence of diplomatic representation, administrative, religious and political authorities. Fair and exhibition For a week, the partners showcased their expertise in various fields: From plastic recycling to crafts. JVF-CAMEROON sounded the alarm on the destruction of the environment through a pyramid of plastic waste with the theme: RED ALERT PLANET IN DANGER!!!. This represents an average annual consumption of a family of 4 people. Training In order to equip JVF-CAMEROON volunteers and its partners from civil society organizations, a training course was organized at the JVF-CAMEROON headquarters in project management and another in Management at the DEO GRACIAS complex of AFRIQUE FUTURE in Emana. Trainings co-facilitated by GUY KRUMMENAKER, a volunteer of International Solidarity, skills development consultant in charge of supporting JVF-CAMEROON and Pierre LAVERGNE, urban planner, researcher and teacher at the University of Strasbourg, invited to Cameroon for the occasion. Participation in the International Day At the invitation of CAFEN, JVF-CAMEROON took part in the celebration of International Forest Day at the Bastos public school Participation in DEMIF Invited by Trois LYS-Nsimalen, JVF-CAMEROON participated in the Francophone Minute Lunch (DEMIF) on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Village Noah, marking the celebration of the International Day of La Francophonie.
